A special Veterans day note from Cross Street Christian School’s Principal and 3rd-5th grade teacher, Lisa Rhodes.
Veterans day is a highly anticipated day for students and staff alike at Cross Street Christian School! Typically, we have a special program honoring our Veterans. However, due to COVID-19 we are remembering their dedication and sacrifice a little differently this year.
Reading “America’s White Table” by Margot Theis Ravan has become a tradition for us at Cross Street Christian School. As we read the book, we set our own table to honor our heroes. The students look forward to this tradition each year. We wanted to share our table with you this year.
Several of our students created artwork to say THANK YOU to our Veterans and a few recorded special messages as well.
While we miss being able to honor our Veterans in person this year, we still want to take a moment to say:
Thank you, Veterans. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your commitment to serving our country. May God continue to bless you!
If you are a Veteran or have a Veteran you would like to acknowledge, please email me at cscsprincipal@CrossSt.org and we will see that a special card is sent.
